Renovations Coming to the Dorsch Memorial Branch

The Monroe County Library System wishes to inform patrons of upcoming renovations to the Dorsch Memorial Branch Library. Renovations to the entrance are scheduled to begin in the Fall of 2018. Another way to check out Overdrive eBooks and Audiobooks

To make your library's digital collection even more convenient to access, Woodlands downloadable content is now available to check out through the Library's online catalog.  This means that patrons can check out and place holds on Woodlands (Overdrive) content without using the Overdrive or Libby apps.  When searching the Library's online catalog, a special Overdrive button will now appear next to eContent items.  If a book is available, patrons can check out the item by clicking on the “Check out with Overdrive”...

In the Spirit of the People

In the Spirit of the People is a joint project of the Museum and the Papers of James Monroe prepared by museum studies students at the University of Mary Washington. Leave it to Beavers!

The Monroe County Library System and the River Raisin Institute have partnered together to display hand-crafted beaver sculptures at seven library branches through the month of June.   The beavers were created by school children across Monroe County as part of the River Raisin Institute's Leave it to Beavers program. Local public, parochial, and private schools crafted the beavers from recycled materials to raise awareness about green living and climate literacy.  Displaying the beavers at nearby library...
