Storytimes and Playgroups

My MCLS Storytimes image with children reading

Your child is invited to discover the world of books at one of the Storytimes offered by the Monroe County Library System.

Books, stories, and song are part of the program. Most story sessions conclude with an art project or other special activity.

Most Monroe County Library System branches hold one or more weekly Storytimes. Each session lasts about 45 minutes. We ask parents to remain in the library while Storytime is in session. This will provide opportunities to use the library’s resources as well as to visit with other parents.

Feel free to call the nearest branch for details and for information on programs for other age groups and special programs.

In cases of extreme weather, Storytimes are cancelled whenever schools are closed.

Programs are subject to change.

Please check your local branch for more information.
