More About the Renovation Project

This large-scale renovation is part of the City of Monroe’s vision to create a community campus that will house the L.S. Navarre Branch Library, Learning Bank, and the Opportunity Center. The renovations will focus on improving accessibility, upgrading technology, and creating inviting spaces for study, collaboration, and community events.

The initiative is made possible through a generous $7.8 million dollar grant from the State of Michigan. “We are incredibly grateful to the City of Monroe for their support, through this grant, which allows us to make significant improvements to our facilities,” said Library Director, Nancy Bellaire. “We understand that the library is a vital resource to our community, and we appreciate our patrons’ patience. These renovations will help us create a modern and welcoming space that meets the evolving needs of our patrons.”
