Butterflies at the Branches

The River Raisin Institute shares its Flight of the Butterflies project with branches of the Monroe County Library System. The sculptures were created by local schools out of recycled and repurposed materials in an effort to promote awareness about climate change.

You can catch sight of the butterflies at the following branches, now through July 20, 2014:

  • Bedford Branch Library – Displaying Toledo Chase Elementary School’s butterfly
  • Carleton Branch Library – Displaying St. Patrick School’s butterfly and St. Charles Borromeo School’s butterfly
  • Dorsch Memorial Branch Library – Displaying Monroe Middle School’s butterfly
  • Dundee Branch Library – Displaying Dundee Middle School’s butterfly
  • Ellis Library & Reference Center – Displaying Arborwood Elementary School’s buttefly and Carleton Christian Co-Op’s butterfly
  • Erie Branch Library – Displaying Mason Central Elementary School’s butterfly
  • Frenchtown-Dixie Branch Library – Displaying Sodt Elementary School’s butterfly
  • Ida Branch Library – Displaying Ida Elementary School’s butterfly
  • Newport Branch Library – Displaying North Elementary School’s butterfly
  • Summerfield-Petersburg Branch Library – Displaying Summerfield Elementary School’s butterfly
  • South Rockwood Branch – Ritter Elementary School’s butterfly
